Iki sketsa ning daerah Rembang, pas e ning Mantingan. Iki omag loji kuno jaman Londo. Omah kayu jati ning pinggiran alas jati. Omah loji iki ngarep e ono kolam renang e lan ning sisih kiwone ono lapangan tenis.

Bodo

.... Bodo ... dino sing tunggu tunggu, mergo prei dowo, iso kumpul karo sedulur lan iso dolan. Maseo seneng e Bodo ora koyo ndek wayah isih cilik tapi Bodo tetep nyenengke.

In General Hospital.

My lovely father was hospitalised last September, we took him to The General Hospital. A week before he was stay  for 12 days in a smaller hospital near my house.
He is 79 yrs old. He has problem with the blood pressure and DM (Diabetes mellitus). He stayed for a week and getting well now and has to visit the doctor regularly.

I managed to do some sketches during in the General Hospital. I also very interested with some retro wooden benches there although modern metal seats are commonly used.

I don't feel comfortable when sketched him like this.

 

  

  

An Alley called 'Petudungan'

Petudungan is a small street with old Chinese houses along. Some are left unused and ignored ... look terrible. Some are renovated but leave the look of traditional chines house ... look funny some times :)

  

Oude Stad 2 - Kutho Lawas njaman Kolonial

Oude Stad, boso Londo sing teges e 'Kutho Lawas'. Oude Stad Semarang kui ombone kiro kiro 31 hektar ono ing arah lor, lan dadi pusat praja lan dagang. Ono okeh bangunan kuno ning kene ... kiro kiro ono 50, Bangunan bangunan londo iki saiki kondisine akeh sing wis ancur, rubuh tapi ugo ono sing iseh apik lan kuat amergo tetep dienggo. Semarang dewe dadi kutho VOC ( Prusahaan Dagang Walondo) ing taun 5 oktober 1705 sawise ono teken janji Susuhunan Pakubuwono I karo VOC.

Tugu Muda Semarang

Tugu Muda ... this monument was completed in 1953. This is for remembering the five days war from 14th to 19th October 1945 between the Indonesian youth and the Japanese troops.

Old Women

Two old Javanese Women. I just began to draw the third woman ... but I had no more time as I needed to leave . . . Wearing a kerudung, a moslem cloth for woman to cover the head & torso and a 'jarik' a batik fabric to cover the belly to the leg.

I hear people talk about Wewe Gombel . . . then I try to sketch it. Wewe gombel is ghost of a woman in Javanese folklore. I myself never believe with such a thing.
