Building Cleaner - 2

Two people are working up there to clean the Yamaha ofiice in Jalan Pemuda Semarang. I am outing for sketching so I am with all of my sketching gear when I pass the building and see this. Get stop in across the road and find a comfort site to do this sketch.

Kios Stempel

Kios Stempel ing Dalan Pemuda Semarang. Lokasine pas ing ngarep e hotel Bahagia. Amergo panggonane sing madep ngulon kios iki yen wis awan lan sore njur dadi kepanasen keno srengenge. Sket iki tak gambar awan iki mau (20 Juni 2010). Cuacane cerah banget tur panas e gak karuan.

Petudungan

Petudungan is a small alley in Semarang. It has the old China houses all the way there.

Phinisi

A phinisi at Tanjung Mas Port, Semarang.

Phinisi is a wooden vessel from South Sulawesi (Celebes). It is built on the beach with wood that come from the forest in Sulawesi or kalimantan (Borneo). Teak (tectona grandis sp) is the most preferred wood but Ulin (iron wood) and Bangkirai (yellow balau) is also used. Please note if it is made from tectona gradis, the wood are not from Kalimantan.

Phinisi is used both as transport and cargo as well.
